Xmms, Xfce4 And Ce-rh1
« on: December 28, 2005, 05:28:40 pm »
Hi all,

unfotunately xmms seems to not work properly with CE-RH1 remote control under xfce4. I can not use the remote control keys to control xmms (Volume Up/Down, Stop/Pause, Previous/Next)
It works fine under Matchbox (default WM for PDAXROM).
xinitrc.xfce4 seems to load the same key mapping as Matchbox.
The output of xmodmap -pke seems to be the same under xfce4 as under Matchbox.

Any idea, how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

if I see, that the keycode 110 mapped to XF86RotateWindows does not work for me (no screen-rotation on switch to portrait-mode or back to landspace-mode), I think,
is it possible, that the xcf4 filters some keys out? or
is something wrong with my environment?

Any idea is very appricated

Best regards

I think the answer is in the xfce fine tuning thread.
you should create a shortcut so that XF86RotateWindows  runs "chkhinge"

Some shortcut are not defined for xfce.
you can find the shortcut defined for openbox in /etc/xdg/openbox/rc.xml
