Feed Confusion

Please help a pdaXrom newbie. (I had a 5500 several years ago and loved it, but a 3100 only for several weeks, and I started playing with pdaXrom yesterday.)

I saw in other threads that gpe-pim might fill my PIM needs. I had been using ko/pi when I still had the Cacko ROM, but would like to try something else. However, gpe-pim doesn't exist in the 1000-3100 feed, nor in any of the others. Where might I find it?

More generally, what are the relationships between the feeds? Can I use planner from the X/Qt feed on the 3100? (One other thread implied I can't.) How could a planner package "be made to show up" in the 1000-3100 feed?

Try use additional feed .... add another line for 7x0-860 feed in your /etc/ipkg.conf
use ipkg update and be happy!

It's in the openzaurus feed, however that won't work on a pdaXrom machine. It should be relatively easy to compile it from cvs using the pdaXrom toolchain.

anunakin - I had looked in the 760-860 feed and didn't see it there, either. I'm curious if someone has it, but hasn't put it in the feed.

lardman - thanks for the heads-up. I don't really want to learn about the toolchain quite yet, but maybe I'll have a go if there are no prepackaged versions.
