Arrrghos 500

I want to love my new Archos 500 but

1. First PC wont recognize it.

2, Second PC will recognize but once I load the updated firmware and try the "Update Firmware" button - nothing happens

3. I try to record TV directly and get "wrong module type" - no mention of that problem or error code on the Archos website.

Apple has the market locked up because they build things that simply work.

My Archos AV500 works perfectly.

Might want to check what setting mode you have the Archos USB in (In the settings menu). There are two modes. One works like a hard disk. One works like a pain in the bum add on to Windows Media Player.

No clue about the 3rd point. Mine records brilliantly, clearly and with no issues.
