Switch To Pdaxrom

Hello

Finally I'd like to switch to pdaXrom from Cacko 1.23 on my C1000

I just want to ask if I can get following funkcionality with pdaXrom
- sync PIM with outlook (using m$ exchange at work:-() (i think i am out of luck here)
- use Zaurus as USB key
- use Zaurus as reader for USB key
- read ebooks in Justreader in win1250 code page
- use minicom as cisco console
- view comics, listen mp3s, watch movies
- use internet through GPRS bluetooth mobile phone
- use VNC server, viewer
- use RemoteDesktop
- use Dlink-DCF 650W wireless card with kismet and wellenreiter
- play some games :-)

almost everything ...
can anyone comment me this list?

There is the latest version of KDE-Pim/PI with alarm working, don't know about syncing

Yes, wellenreiter has just been released 2 days ago, kismet was available for a long time

minicom is in the feed, I have never tried it

I haven't tried, sorry. I'm trying to get away from syncing

I tried it a couple quick times and had trouble mounting it and gave up for the time being. What /dev/device do you mount for this, someone?

mplayer backend works well for movies. XMMS is great for MP3's. Haven't found a good comic reader yet (let me know if you find one)

VNC is in the feed. I setup tight VNC on my XP laptop and it worked great.

In the feed as well I think. I RD'ed into my XP laptop and it worked great.

Lots of games. Check the feeds and the pdaXrom forum section.

What do you use your device for?

If you want a general purpose "computer", use pdaxrom.  If you want a PIM that syncs to outlook, at the moment I'd use something else like Cacko.

I've solved this by not syncing the Zaurus: I use my phone as my contacts, calendar and todo, and sync with that.

1) Where can I find vnc server package? I found only tightvnc in feed.
2) I'd like to have feeds on my MMC card. How Can I do that?

Here, the USB key mounts automatically on insert with a USB host cable (from iRiver) and it should mount automatically.

Another small issue. I tried to connect to Internet through GPRS and BT.
Everything works OK. Found mobile phone created profile through PPP Modem. Than I used PPP Dialer for connect pppd. Woked OK but when I minimized  PPP Dialer window it disapeared and I could not find it any more on desktop, but in Active Tasks appeared very small Unnamed Window. I had to kill pppd from command lline killall pppd and resize and kill that unnamed window. Is it bug or I have error between Zaurus and chair?

My USB flash drive doesn't seem to mount automagically. I'm sure I'll figure it out one day when I need to.

Just got it working. I made a silly mistake with the dependencies but I just figured it out. Man, it's a nice app. Thanks. I'm dusting off my Tintin's and Asterix's.
