Before to begin i would like to thx Sash and all the PDAXrom developers for their excellent work about this distribution.
It' s amazing to see a Desktop like interface working on a PDA.
Naturally i contributed donating more as an appreciation for the work that other.
Sorry for my long preamble, eheh!
Now that i have time i began to try help for developing.
For the first, as i don' t really like syncronization, i compiled all the GPE todo, calendar, contacts for my FC4, if someone is interested i can send the packages needed via Email or post somewhere.
I did it 'cause crosscompiling this GPE programs on the Zaurus you need only to copy the configuration files from FC4 to the Zauri.
And logically GPE programs are faster than any other on the PC.
Now i would like to do some script or GPE program to command CF GSM CARDS, i have one called Enfora CF GSM0110 that works with Gammu but i didn' t work out how to answer calls or do other matter. Only GPRS internet connection works fine. If someone can help me i really apreciate it.
Now sorry for my English and see u later. BYE!!
[span style=\'font-size:10pt;line-height:100%\']I don't know how, but i' ll do!!!
This is how i like to live! :)[/span]

Do you mean that you have these GPE programs both running on the Z or on your PC ? Nice ....great work !
I would like to use these GPE programs like you on both my Z and my PC as well so if you can post them somewhere it would be awesome. I am using Ubuntu.
I would also like the other gpe apps to be available for pdaxrom like gpe-mini-browser.

Thank you very much.

Yes i mean it and i'm now cross compiling for teh Zauri.
As i told the RPMS are ready for the FC4, i compiled theese packages:
gpe-calendar-0.72-1.i386.rpm
gpe-contacts-0.44-1.i386.rpm
gpe-icons-0.25-1.i386.rpm
gpe-todo-0.55-1.i386.rpm
libcontactsdb-0.3-1.i386.rpm
libeventdb-0.21-1.i386.rpm
libgpepimc-0.5-1.i386.rpm
libgpevtype-0.15-1.i386.rpm
libgpewidget-0.109-1.i386.rpm
libmimedir-1.0-1.i386.rpm
libschedule-0.15-1.i386.rpm
libtododb-0.09-1.i386.rpm
libxsettings-client-0.16-1.i386.rpm
sqlite-2.8.17-1.i386.rpm
I think all you need to use GPE-Contacts, GPE-Calendar and GPE-Todo with the FC4 and they works.
I did it 'cause i did' nt find any real possibilities to make no synchronization with the Desktop.
I tried Thunderbird, but it's too heavy considering that you have to use it in car, or at work where apps speed is very appreciated.
I tried Evolution too, but i didn't understand some configuration issues about Events, Todo and Contacts, so the direct copy of the DB from Zauri to Desktop would have been too complicated.
So my choice was GPE, that is really fast and simple for both PC and Zauri.
I think tonight i will be ready with both SDK additions and Zauri packages of the RPMS listed above.
So stay tuned, if you would like, for now, as u like my way of thinking, i can mail the RPMS to you, so you can try them with me, and after help me doing this.
They are 2,8 MBs toghether so not too heavy for the mail servers.
Thank for your attention and sorry for my English GUYS, 'cause i' m very in hurry and i look forward
to have all compiled, to begin programming GPE Widgets.
See u later. bye.

I can test the RPMS (I will use alien to convert them in deb packages first) and the Z packages.
My email is scheck.r_AT_gmail_DOT_com (replace _AT_ by @ and _DOT_ by . )

Thanks

gpe for pdaxrom:
http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/Xromer/

the rest:
http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/misc/

perhaps also change the subject of your post so that it contains "GPE"
it'll make it more meaningfull when searching...

HUM...... i think that there' s some trouble with the function called mimedir_vcard_read_file in all the Import options in the programs, i did a fix and changed the call in mimedir_vcard_read_list that was the right function in the libmimedir package. This fix worked in the GPE FC4 RPMS. I will try to understand why this doesn' t work in the Zauri Ver. But i suggest you to use the sqlite ver. 2 commands to import the databases directly in the Contacts, Todo and Calendar tabs 'cause there aren' t functions to import all the records toghether and you have to do one by one.
The Sqlite implementation is another reason i chose the GPE PIM project.
Another simple way to do it, is to use the FC4 PRGS simply to do it.
Once you have the DBS done, you don't need to import. The trouble is the lack of export function too.
I will check if there are other version of libmimedir to work out the problem.
BYEZZ!

You have to use the [a href=\"http://mail.pdaxrom.org/1.1.0beta1/Zaurus-7x0-860/zgcc-3.4.5.img] native-sdk [/url] and install it on the Zaurus.
After that you have to add the extensions i did for the cross SDK only correcting the PATH and depending on what you want to compile.
But it' s a thing i didn' t suggest for the compiler speed  that makes you loose time every time you find bugs to fix.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

P.S. FOR ALL THE PEOPLE
PLEASE REFER TO THE OTHER TOPIC I OPENED FOR THE GPE IPKGS ISSUES AS IT HAS A MORE INHERENT TOPIC TITLE.
