I think the right portion of the screen is clipped a little.  I don't see the scrolling bar and sometimes words are clipped.  Am I doing something wrong?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=118097\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Could you send a screenshot or a digital photo? This happens when editing or viewing entries?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=118156\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Here is a screenshot.  Notice that there is no scroll bar in the right window although the text does not fit on the screen.  In the previous version if I remember correctly there was a scroll bar.

Can source of 1.0rc1 be released as tarball? I will try to make package for OpenZaurus/Familiar distros.

I can fetch from CVS but sourceforge CVS servers are nightmare... to much timeouts etc..

Since they upgraded the CVS servers, I have not had any problems. But if you cannot get the sources from the CVS, I can prepare a tarbar.

BTW. Thanks for taking care of OZ releases.

rafm: anonymous access to cvs.sf.net was too often a problem so I want to avoid it as much as possible.

And there is no 1.0rc1 tag on cvs so could be hard to get just that release..

I'll create a tarbal for the final release with all problems fixed (the current is still beta).

There is a tag "r_1_0_rc1" for the current release in the CVS. See for example "cvs log Makefile" for the list of all tags.

ops. so I missed that tag before - will try to fetch/build it later.

Hmm.. found - libbedic has 1.0rc1, zbedic does not.

will rebuild both.

I made it :)

Info about patches:
- version.patch change VERSION -> 1.0rc1 in src/settings.cpp
- opie-icons.patch make zbedic use back/forward icons from OPIE instead of own ones (so they are proper size)

Not tested on device yet.

How do I convert .edic files into regular .dic files that can be processed by mkbedic?

Currently it is not possible. I plan to add export option in 1.1.

Rafm, could you update us on your plans?  You have recently indicated that you are busy with other projects.  So, if we people donate for a specific feature under the feature-donation mechanism, will you find time to implement the requested feature?

On a separate note, is it technically possible (and if so how hard is it to implement) to allow zbedic search not only in the list of word entries but also in the body of the translation.  I know that there is some sort of indexing going on and that the search in the body of the entries would require totally new approach.  But can it be done without rewriting the whole Zbedic code?  This feature would make the existing dictionaries even more useful.  If this is possible can somebody do it?  Would financial incentive help (if so, how much)?

I will update the FDDD web page in a few days and remove all those thigs that I cannot promise to do because of the limited time I can spend programming zbedic.

Searching body of translations would require indexing dictionaries. Exhaustive search over all entries would be to slow for several magabyte dictionaries. The new zbedic that already makes use of sqlite has all necessary backend to add such indexing.  I would love to implement it, but I am affraid that I will not find enough time to do this. If anyone would be interested to invest some time in programming full text search, I can give him some hints but that is all I can do right now.

I fixed this problem in the final release 1.0. Check the zbedic [a href=\"http://bedic.sourceforge.net/]web page[/url].

Great news!  Zbedic is coming to a regular Linux box near you!

I understand that rafm has started porting zbedic to a regular linux.  See http://bedic.sourceforge.net/

Thanks, rafm.
