Clearlooks For Pdaxrom
« on: April 21, 2006, 11:21:49 am »
This is my first package created for pdaXrom.  Clearlooks is an attractive GTK-2.0 engine/theme set.  It remind me of Plastik in KDE.  I am using it in XFCE on my C1000.  The ipk file installs both the engine and four themes.  Other themes that use the clearlooks engine can be installed and used as well.

I have installed the package on my Zaurus, and all I can say is:  works for me!

I haven't had any more problems with it.  I am very pleased to see you put up packages for battery applet and system applet - the very two I wanted.  I will let you know if I run into any other problems with beta1.

thanks.

I recall trying to install the OZ package of Clearlooks when I was running GPE without much success.  Does GPE use a full version of GTK2?  Was it Clearlooks 0.6.2 that was compiled for it?  I didn't use any special compile options and was a little surprised the engine runs so well on the Zaurus.

The clearlooks theme (and engine) should be included by default in gpe image, which indeed has some bugs with abiword and gnumeric. I also added gtk-theme-engines 2.7.4 a while ago to OE which should solve all those crashers, but requires gtk 2.8.x and a recent cairo.
