Yes!

1 - pdaXrom 1.1.0-beta3 ...

2- I put this lines at /etc/profile
Code: [Select]
#JAVA CLASSPATH
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/jamvm/bin
export CLASSPATH=/usr/java/jamvm/share/jamvm/classes.zip:/usr/java/classpath/share/classpath/glibj.zip

3- My firefox and gcjwebplugin installed at same mount point and this must be a ext3 or ext2 partition

4- Verify if gcjwebplugin has exec attribute.

My HDD has 4 partitions 3 with ext3 and 1 swap

Ask Cortez  Credit for compiling jamvm and classpath goes to him.
I am doubtful though that your ol Z can handle both firefox and java as both are memory hogs by themselves. The combined memory eaters will definately grind your machine down to a hold even with a huge swap file. I am really pushing my C3000 to run these beasts

First of all thanks for the great work so far on this meanie, much appreciated!

Before I go into the trouble of getting this to work on the 5500, does "recompile all thinks to ARMv4" mean just recompile with a different cross compiler? I could manage to try that, at least for the JamVM and Classpath packages, although I can't test the binaries on my C750 of course.

As for the memory hog Firefox, I don't understand why it is that we still don't have the latest Minimo running on pdaXrom. I have to admit, I tried compiling it some time ago, without succes... maybe worth a new thread

minimo 1.7.12 is in the beta1 feed
[a href=\"http://mail.pdaxrom.org/1.1.0beta1/Zaurus-7x0-860/feed/minimo_1.7.12_armv5tel.ipk]http://mail.pdaxrom.org/1.1.0beta1/Zaurus-...12_armv5tel.ipk[/url]
maybe i should try the plugin against it too.

btw, can your crosscompiler do hardfloats? I could use a hardfloat version of jamvm and classpath for xqt

imho minimo ain't that mini , and it ain't that mo either.  It's still a pig and it renders weirdly.  Is the latest and greatest a substantial improvement?

The links to the packages are dead. Is there a way to get the requisite ipks still?
