Wxpython Available?
« on: April 21, 2006, 06:07:34 pm »
Hello,

has anybody already compiled wxpython or would be willing to do so?

Wxpython is the python binding for wxwindows, a very nice gui toolkit. For more information see http://www.wxpython.org/ or for some examples http://www.wxpython.org/screenshots.php .

Regards,

Fabian

Wxpython Available?

Hi,

I happend to compile wxpython at some point in order to get some apps requiring it to run. But I didn't have much leisure time to track down all the dep and do all the compilations from the ground up. Here are my own packages. I have not tested it fully and am not sure if it is fully functional, so let me post the files here for now instead of the new package announcement thread. Feel free to try if you are interested and see if they work. At least they did no harm to my system (C1000, Beta3).
Enjoy!

Wxpython Available?

Hi,

Intro : I want to run taskcoach on my Zaurus. (allright, "skip intro")

Everything about wxpython I can find only contains the wxwidgets but not the python modules.
Did anyone already compile those as well ?
I gave it a go, but got stuck after compiling wxwidgets. I followed the instructions on the wxpython site, but when building "wxPython" the way described there, I get a lot of errors about not finding the includes and not finding the compiler, ... . I was able to copy the includes to a standard location so they are found now. Then I copied gcc to a standard location, .... . But it keeps asking other things.
Note : I know about symlinks, but that doesn't work here ...

Does anyone know a solution for this ?

Or can somebody give us an ipk of wxPython 2.8.4 ?

Chero.
