« on: July 04, 2006, 11:46:55 am »
Im trying to mount the initrd.bin from beta1 but it asks for a filesystem type? I tried mounting with
mount -o loop initrd.bin beta1 and i have also tried mount -o loop -t auto initrd.bin beta1 and it keeps asking for a filesystem type.

It might have been compressed.
What if you do a "file initrd.bin" ?
Also if it is a jffs2 you might have trouble mounting it via loop:
JFFS2 version 2.2. (NAND) © 2001-2003 Red Hat, Inc.
Attempt to mount non-MTD device "/dev/loop0" as JFFS2
