Conics Or Pricejapan
« on: July 25, 2006, 09:37:17 am »
Just wondering if anybody if anyone has any comments re Conics v PriceJapan, particularly service wise.
I am leaning towards PriceJapan, but Conics seems have a better deal at the moment on c1000s, which includes a case.

Any comments gratefully accepted!
My new toy: C1000/pdaXrom/xfce4 and Rox - now I just have to get it all working!.

Other stuff: Axim x50v and a brace of Newtons....!

If you live in the USA, I recommend Streamline CPU's
I purchased my SL-C1000 there, and I am 100% satisfied with the correspondence and service.

I recently purchased my C1000 through Conics and service was extremely fast to the US.  They also responded quickly to my email for more information prior to purchase.

If you are looking for the best service (as in warranty repairs) StreamlineCPUs (Americas) or Trisoft (Europe) is the way to go.

If you mean fast response to questions and orders; all four are good choices.

StreamlineCPUs prices were a bit too high for the Z and accessories when I factored in the shipping and exchange rate (I'm from Canada) so, I focused on PriceJapan and Conics.

I nearly went with PriceJapan, since they had the cheapest Z price but, I wanted to pick up some accessories like the a Screen protector, USB host cable, an extra AC adapter and  a Pentopia stylus which PriceJapan wasn't offering at the time.

In the end I went with Conics due to their lower package deal price (compared to StreamlineCPUs) and I was very happy with the service.
I think I'm coming down with what kahm's got!  I now have 3 Zaurii in house!  ;)

Thanks for allthe comments.

I am actually in Australia, so Conics and PricdJapan are my two choices (not counting ebay).

Sounds like an either or situation as far as service so i will probably just go for the best package deal.

FWIW I had a good experience with PriceJapan service.  As you would expect it took about a month to get c860 repaired because of the back and forth to japan.  Also, the email communication for service is less than sales.

Pricejapan rocks
