Hi.
I can found a clear answer on the forum.

I bought a 4gb sd card, but beta1 don't support.
There is some driver? I understand yes, but I can't found.

Thanks.

it's the same driver that is in updated sharp distros. (ie. the cacko driver) the kernel didnt' change in beta 1 so it will work in that version but none others ... Check meanies contrib + custom ... I think i remembered seeing the mmc driver there.

Intresting ... I have a similar problem:
A 2Gb SD card that works fine in my digital camera and on my usb card reader for my desktop, but fails to work on my PDA's (tryed bothe cacko 1.23 and pdaXrom 1.1.0beta1).
I can supply dmesg output after SC insertion if anybody would find it usefull.

you might try backing up the card then formatting it in the zaurus, if the z sees the device.  It might also bethat some cards don't work.  My 4 gig worked fine in beta one.

My Z don't see the card.
Can you tell me what file you install in beta1?

OK, now WORK!
For dummies like me: if you install on a c1000 with beta1 this file: mmc driver arm.ipk your zaurus doesn't see any sd or mmc (I had to perform a nand backup).

For have a SD 4GB work tou must install this file (also if it give some error): http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/t...2btetsu_arm.zip

Then your zaurus can see the sd and you can format with fdisk.

However windows see this sd (4gb) and I format with windows, but after 100% it gave an error and this sd can only format with fat32....mah.
Then I can see it with Zaurus and I format in fat16 with fdisk...
