(zpsx) Psx4zaurus Public Beta 4 Released

First post in this thread. I'd like to try this in Cacko.
I'm currently using Cresho's neogeo-turbogrfx-genesis-nes-snes emulator and I think it's great.
I've never owned a PS or PS2. Are there a lot of good RPGs for this platform?

pgas: Thanks for your help, especially when it concerns a different rom such as Cacko.

Speaking of Cacko. It has me a bit upset. I'm probably going to have to land up using Meanie's GCC and do a static link of the libraries used. I am able to statically link all of them...except zlib. Is there a "libz.a" for Cacko? Or will I have to make one myself? I haven't found one yet.

As for psx4zaurus on pdaXrom, more optimizations are being made.

I have a bunch of "rare but in demand" games ripped. Valkyrie Profile, Castlevanie SOTN, etc...

- Now includes both a CACKO build and a PDAXROM build.

pdaXrom blits to the screen much faster than Cacko 1.23 with BVDD SDL. And with pdaXrom's overclocking ability it outpaces Cacko. But Cacko is faster clock-for-clock.

I'm quite surprised cacko performs better than pdaxrom - I've not even attempted overclocking yet but I might just have to now.

zottd- go ahead and report if you like, you know better than most - Castlevania is one game I would love to play through on the Z

I have one game already that runs, but with video problems and is very slow with sound off.
I got it running in cacko Qtopia, but had path problems at first.

I thought it would be easier to find homebrew psx games. After a couple hours googling, my answer to you is to but a $5 used psx game that is non3d. Sorry. Hoped to be more helpfull.
Diablo works pretty well (OC'ed) if you can find it. Check my compat page for more.

I looked at Amazon, and final fantasy 8 comes on 4 CDs
How would someone rip these CDs and be able to play this? It's about 2-2½GB total.

BTW, Antikx, I have a game now called "Legend of Legaia"
It runs very slow in the cacko version, but I can also play it on my desktop PC.
