Undelete On Jffs2?

Today, I deleted /usr/bin/ as well as a large portion of /usr/share/ by sudo tar tzf /mnt/card/data.tar.gz|sudo rm -r. In retrospect, I obviously shouldn't have done that. I'm quite stressed and annoyed that I have no recent backups, so I was hoping that there was some way to recover files from my flash. I'm running pdaXrom beta3 on a C3100 with the full-size root partition.

I decided to reinstall everything, so never mind.

Thats the spirit!  It will give you more practice and speed up your rebuild skills... :-)

When configuring a new system, I regularly create NAND backups so if enything is deleted by accident or destroyed, I can restore the last NAND backup and only have to repeat the last few of the steps I did so far.

but remember that NAND backups won't do you any good if you have OZ on a C3x00 or pdaXrom beta4 or later.

apart from that NAND backups are a great way of restoring your system once you screw up
