intresting article on floating point performance and recent improments

note the platform they are talking about is also an xscale, one thats normally used in raid cards and storage devices, its the same as a pxa without the iwmmxt and a couple of other improments

seems arm is starting to get a bit more support

Not quite, those IOPs are Xscale version 3, the pxa270 is v2.

I think the most important part of that announcement was that debian/ARM is based on Angstrom and OpenEmbedded

lmao--- I used to whine about no zaurus distro not being a simple recompile of debian
**3100 Zubuntu Jaunty,(working on Cacko dualboot), 16G A-Data internal CF, 4G SD, Ambicom WL-1100C Cf, linksys usb ethernet,  BelkinF8T020 BT card, Belkin F8U1500-E Ir kbd, mini targus usb mouse, rechargeble AC/DC powered USB hub, psp cables and battery extenders.

**6000l  Tetsuized Sharprom, installed on internal flash only 1G sd, 2G cf

We have some people in #oe using the linux-rp kernel and an armedslack and debian native rootfs on the microdrive. No need for ugly hacks like pocketworkstation. With the armel port, debian isn't even slow anymore
