Yes and here is the official announcement:

There is a new pdaXrom ROM available at www.pdaxrom.org

What\'s new:
- hostapp wifi drivers
- simple Look & Feel utility
- xcardinfo utility
- fixed problem with time resetting after suspend
- fixed problem in battery applet
- preinstalled sd drivers

Know bugs:
- don\'t use On/Off button for device wakeup, use HOME/PowerOn button on keyboard
- some bluetooth card can freeze device after suspend/wakeup, need eject before suspend
- PPP dialer need more testing

Please try this new ROM and report any bugs in our new buglist page at http://www.pdaxrom.org/buglist.php - the buglist page is also in testing phase, it still needs javascript check on the submit form and more. But please use it and test it too. We need to get the bugs gathered up in one place in order to kill them :-)

News for the frontpage of ZUG is awaiting approval.

Could someone tell me what version of libc you\'re using?

I have a C750 on order and will need something with libc2.3 (to run the latest Octave and R).

If, as I fear, you\'re still using libc2.2, are there any plans to upgrade to 2.3? Is this ROM based on one of the others (for example the underlying components of the Sharp ROM)? Any info appreciated.

we use stable glibc 2.2.5, because had problems with glibc 2.3.2.
ROM not based on any another and building from sources with pdaXrom builder. I have config file for build glibc 2.3.2 ROM, but not all apps will work ok with it.

What are the libc troubles?

Where can I get hold of the pdaXrom builder (and the config file if that\'s okay)?

Thanks,

Si

I thought my \"Socket CF+ LP WLAN Card REV A 1.00\" didn\'t work even after installing the pcmcia_fix, turns out I only had to start the network

/etc/pcmcia/network start eth0

This step was not required for my linksys WCF12 card.

A good rule is to try using the control program for network - my network card won\'t work either until i run the control program after a fresh reflash.

I like the battery applet changes. Instead of the usual 4 steps of \'full\', \'nearly empty\', \'really nearly empty\' and \'empty\' you get a correct reading at 1% or so intervals. Great!

With regards to the buglist, an nice option would be to be able to add comments to a bug. For example, bug number (5), libpng.so.3 being required for mplayer. This library is supplied with gqview. Install that and mplayer works.

How do I remove applets from the bar? Clicking the [X] doesnt seem to do anything.
Also, it would be nice to have a button to stop wireless networking. Maybe the wireless applet does this, but it won\'t start on my 760/buffalo. The only way to stop networking now, is ifconfig eth0 down && cardctl eject 0

Otherwise, a very nice rom!!!! keep up the good work!

Are they any built-in PIM apps in the new pdaxrom? Which PIM apps can be installed later? Can one use the tkc products in conjunction with the new ROM? What are the limitations with respect to installing other applications?

Many thanks,
Ashu  :?:

Ashu,

No PIM apps yet.  Tkc products are QT based and will not work with the pdaXrom
