Strange Configure Errors
« on: January 25, 2007, 06:45:06 pm »
I'm trying to build optimized SDL libraries, but when I try to configure them it says "cannot find sources (README) in . or .." Other apps configure fine. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Thanks.

By the way, I would have put this under the development section, but I didn't see a good place, and I think it may be an r121-specific problem.

Would it be a problem of CASE in the filenames? How and where do you extract the source?

Life is too precious for hacking *too much*

I DL'd and extracted them on my Ubuntu box directly to the SD card...wait that may be the problem...it's FAT16-formatted. I'll try copying them to my microdrive and see if that works.

Back in a sec.

I copied the files over, still no luck. I suppose I should try downloading them right onto ext3?

I redownloaded the source and it works fine.

Thanks, it could have taken me quite a while to get it to work, and, even then, still not know what caused the issue in the first place.
