ok, just two questions about angstrom.
1/ will it have a good web browser?
2/ will OZ be dropped?
3/ will there be an effort to have good documentation ready for when it goes stable?

Ok, I lied, there were three questions.

1) Depends on your actual OS-flavour, but I expect all X-based desktops to gain a current version of Gdk/Webkit eventually.

2) Angstrom supports all 2.6-based Zaurus models.

3) I sincerely hope so, yeah.

From reading irc logs frequented by OE people I've found similar information.

I wonder why the Akita only gets the console image and not the X11 image like Spitz and c7x0?

are there any comparitive benchmarks of OZ, Angstrom and Cacko (not sure what common app might do, mplayer?)

I'd be really interested if A gives a real speed boost in user mode and not just kernel.

It saves a byteswap for every floating point operation, but that's probably neglible compared to the amount of instructions needed to emulate them.

Is the akita version the best for a C3100?

I haven't flashed my Z in almost a week, getting twitchy!
C3100   - Cacko with PDAXRom and OZ pretensions !

5600 - 255, 256m & 1G Sandisk SD, Wizgo 802.11b, Pocketop irk, bluemonkey BT, Watapon, OZ 3.5.3 Henteges, with a sprinkling of pocketworkstation - depending on the weather !

Fair enough.
I guess I tend to err on the side of caution. I don't like to sign up for dev lists unless I know what I'll be asking is dev-relevant. I would rather not waist their time.
This time, it would appear, it's relevant.
