Just wondering. If we install ubuntu or other linux distro (or BSD for that matter) onto say a UMPC, how does handwriting recognition and features such as inking stand?
I'm non too familiar with where ubuntu stand with the touch-screen feature, so I'm just wondering. On the Kohjinsha running Windows XP, there is basically no native handwriting recognition. You can get it by installing Office 2003 and above to get it or install 3rd party handwriting software. Or you can get Windows XP TabletPC edition.
So, are there add ons for ubuntu running on UMPCs?
And how about pdaXroms? Can we install the x86 roms onto UMPCs and have a full-blown UMPC running pdaXrom?
