Crashing Battery Applet
« on: June 14, 2007, 03:06:25 am »
Hi guys,

in beta3, the battery applet crashes from time to time and has to be restarted.
Do we know the reasons for that?
Any workarounds?

I didn't find out when this happens.
It seems as if it only happens if the Zaurus has been suspended before. But it could also be a matter of (up)time.

the way its implemented, it sleeps for a period and then checks whether it needs to repaint the pixmap. if you suspend it for too long, it might get confused and die from shock
maybe add something in the apm resume scripts for openbox and hup the battery applet process
