Minimo mozilla variant, sounds good for pdaxrom
« on: March 13, 2004, 05:06:13 pm »
This is somewhat related to my question about building ipks for pdaxrom, and whether ipks (at least the process of building them) have any crossover between distributions.

Minimo, if it works as a flyweight wrapper around the excellent mozilla rendering engine, would be invaluable to me. Dillo just isn\'t able to render the web applications I have to manage, and firefox sounds like its too big and slow for the Zaurus. Familair-stable\'s minimo is a relatively svelte 4.8Mb:

It would seem that pdaxrom has the dependencies satisfied:
Section:     x11
Priority:    Unknown
Depends:    libgtk2.0-0, libxt

I\'m sure the layout is different for pdaxrom and familiar-stable, and the compilation is probably not transferrable, but can those currently working on FireFox and other browsers take a look at this one? We could all use an ipk of minimo as soon as possible. Thanks.
