Setup GPRS using IrDa on C750 with T610.
« on: March 15, 2004, 10:34:37 am »
Hi all,

I would like to ask your help in setting up the GPRS on Z using the IRDA with T610. Does anyone has a successful experience in getting this thing moving on Cacko ROM?? It does not seem to connect if I set it up through the internet wizard. Did I missed out on anything??

Please advise.
TIA.

choonhow.

Even though the latest cacko qt rom has some fixes that are supposed to help with somy sony ericsson phones, it still seems that the t610 will not get past the \"initilising\" stage.

Blue tooth works fine however and is much better than irda, as you can leave the phone in your pocket while you connect.

Most people don\'t even realise I am connecting through the phone at all

It would be nice to get this working as a backup, for the times when I forget the bluetooth card.

I couldn\'t get an IrDA connection to a T610 set up either.  I followed the How-To exactly, but I think it might be wrong.  When running irattach, I ended up with irda0 instead of irda1.  Then when going to the network panel and tried connecting, it kept issuing an error of \"Beam device is busy\".

Where can I get the Internet Wizard?  The Cacko Qt ROM 1.20 does not seem to have (also didn\'t have with with the semi-English ROM that came with the unit).

Bluetooth with a Socket CF rev2.5 (unknown if it\'s 2.5G or what, though) is a no-go too.  Spent all last night and much of this morning trying to implement workarounds posted here, but none work for me.  I hope I won\'t need to go back to my Clie.
