Dreambook Light Il1

Following OLPC XO2, Eee PC and Nanobook/Cloudbook/EasyNote XS, Pioneer Computer Australia has just launched a new ultraportable computer priced at 499 USD:

http://www.pioneercomputers.com.au/product...=12&id=2458

Same 7" screen, smallest usable keyboard (IMHO a dividing line between this species and handhelds), CPU=VIA C7-M 1.0G , 40GB HDD (no SSD), USB ports, SD card slot, etc.

The thing is there is no builtin wifi and webcam, but you can add them to you customized build by paying extra: http://www.pioneercomputers.com.au/product...=12&id=2458

Quoting from jkkMobile: "Ready for Windows Vista with 40G HD. Asus EeePC's killer (Asus won't work with Vista)."
Well, but doesn't the ultrabloated vista on an ultraportable sound like a contradiction?

The appearance looks neat. But the default build doesn't have a webcam and even wifi! And the trend should go for SSD and cost will go down eventually.

Life is too precious for hacking *too much*

Looks like a "Professional" version of the eeepc if you ask me!

But without wifi ... what's the point of a light and mobile ultraportable that is tethered to a RJ45 cable!
Snappy!
