Author Topic: Prism2 wireless cf card intermittently locks up UI (Read 2502 times)

I have a TrendNet TEW-222CF http://www.trendware.com/products/TEW-222CF.htm wireless CF card for my Zaurus 860. It detects as a prism2, and has in general worked well for the few hours I\'ve had it.

However, at random times (using the xterm console, configuring the WiFi applet, almost always if inserted while at the boot console) the card locks up the user interface completely. The only way to get any response from the Zaurus is to pull the card out, immediately after which the UI usually becomes responsive again.

Has anyone experienced this, what is it related to (card sleep mode), and are there any known workarounds? Thanks.

What does dmesg read when this happens. I also use a prism2 based card, but this does not ahppen to me.

Do you mean run dmesg after pulling the card out? I\'ll do that next time it happens. As mentioned, I can\'t do anything while the card is actually locked up.

what card are you using, I am using the linksys card and having the exact same problem with the tkc rom. Don\'t know if it is a driver issue, but I remember reading a similar report about this card having a similar problem on an axim. Replacing my card tomorrow
