Has anyone considered making a profile for IRK to connect up to either the new Stowaway Wireless keyboards or the Belkin Wireless keyboards?
Here are the relevant links:

oops - I took the machine down \'coz some nasty hacker had penetrated the security and was using it as a spam relay. It\'s back online now.

OK, thanks, I was able to download the sources.

I\'m happy to include any support people want to code up (that\'s how the Targus support got in - Tim Walker added it), or even code up support myself. But someone has to donate a keyboard before I can do it....Pocketop donated their keyboards for free, which is why they\'re the main ones that are supported...

There\'s also a Saitek IR keyboard that sell\'s for $20 in the US that John Rea\'s trying to add support for at the moment.

IRK, SubApplet, QMode2, NetActive, SimpleEdit, zPocketScript.

Just sent ThinkOutside a plea and a link to your site asking them to get you a wireless keyboard.  One keyboard for all of my devices would be the BALLS!!

Hello,
I modified IRK 0.10 adding a support for the Palm Wireless Keyboard (Palm OEM branded version of ThinkOutside\'s stowaway keyboard).  I have sent the source code to Cwaig last month.  I wish that would be some help for him, though my coding is not good...  The keyboard works fine with my SL-C750/SL-6000L, but a rubber eraser/chewing gum is needed to put the SL-6000 on it.

Thank\'s for reminding me about that one Takeo - I\'d completely forgotten about the patch you sent (sorry).

As I haven\'t integrated it with the current IRK source yet, I\'ve made the IPK that Takeo produced available on my server now, so anyone wanting a version that supports the Palm Wireless keyboard should go there and download 0.10.1 (only available from the main page, it\'s not in the downloads section).

I really should get round to clearing up the patch set\'s I\'ve got outstanding (there\'s several - ranging from QtX compatibility through improvements to the Targus driver right up to Takeo\'s Palm Keyboard support). I\'m such a lazy arse sometimes

How difficult is it to work with the 6k on that keyboard?  Would it drive me nuts - falling off the stand all the time?   Could the problem be fixed with the creative use of a dremel tool?

I use a Kyocera 7135 smartphone too and I\'m looking for one keyboard that can make the gyrations around both devices.

I wish MicroInnovations would sod off - they point their Kyocera 7135 driver link at my page, and I get a fair amount of mail from people with the Kyocera complaining that IRK doesn\'t work on it - not surprising, I\'ve never seen a 7135, and they\'re not on sale in the UK anyway

Thank you, and sorry to bother you, cwaig. Recently, I started to use IRK 0.11 and found it very useful. Thank you again for your nice software.
Hi, smammon. The way I use IR keyboards and SL-6000 is shown here:
http://www.geocities.jp/bakkeo2004/index.html
By using a spacer, e.g. Japanese Xylish gum, and pasting a 2 mm thick plastic plate on backside of SL-6000, keyboard holds zaurus stably, providing the table is not slippery.

I can verify that the 6000 works fine with the pocketop keyboard.  I used it in landscape mode and it balances on the stand with no problem.

I have one (minor) bug report:  If you don\'t change the Zaurus type from 5500 to 5600/C series, you get a cryptic message about not being able to open the IR serial port.  It\'s even more cryptic because the dialog message doesn\'t wrap properly and flows right off the screen so you can\'t read it.  The 6000 could also be added to that menu item since it\'s verified to work.

Another minor feature addition that would be nice is the ability to specify custom serial port.  Could be useful to the handheld.org guys.

Aha!  Thank you for posting the pics!  Makes complete sense now.

As an aside; Are there any other depedancies to get IRK installed on the 6k?  Tried last night just to have it installed and ready when I choose a keyboard and the package manager doesn\'t recognize it.

Sorry, the file I sent to cwaig must be broken.  I uploaded a new one at that URL.  After download, please  remove \".bin\".  Filename\'s \"-j\" stands for Japanese-version because I made some  key macro settings for Kanji input method.  If this made problem, plese remove the macro.
