Gimp file formats
« on: March 22, 2004, 04:25:18 pm »
Hi,

I\'ve installed the gimp, gimp-plugins and libgimp packages from the feed and gimp starts and works ok. But it doesn\'t seem to understand any file format other than its own XCF. The others did work the last time I tried. What must I do to be able to import jpeg and others?

Thanks,
Mirko

I'm having the same problem.  Could a library be in the wrong place?

EDIT: After installing gimp-plugins everything works fine.

Gimp-plugin solves all the above mentioned problems.

The screenshot function of Gimp is not the best in the world - it seems to be better by following the instructions on www.pdaxrom.org in the FAQ.
