NFS mounts take forever
« on: March 26, 2004, 03:39:13 am »
Anybody else, or have I missed something?

It takes 3-5 minutes when I mount an NFS share from my server on the Z.  Precise same configurations for mount as I\'ve used on my 5600, and as I\'ve used on my desktop, and either way it takes forever.  Doesn\'t matter what\'s shared, or where from, different machines, different underlying filesystems, different /etc/exports configurations.

Try adding \"-o nolock\" to your mount command.

Hello
i had this effect. It was the portmapper which was missing a library (libwrap.so). Try to run portmapper from the prompt.
