Anyone care to guess at the release date of the d model. wifi standards change too often to invest in the L (course the 400 mhz processor probably can\'t keep up with 802.11G). Anyone know how much diff 128 megs vs. 64 makes. Watching mpeg4 e.t.c..

I disagree with one thing:  802.11b will likely still be with us when the sl-6000 has been long obsoleted.

btw, the extra storage is flash rom, not ram, iirc.  So, it lets you store more stuff, but doesn\'t really help with running applications.  Personally, I\'d rather have the built in wireless and just store things on a big SD card.

I\'d second both of Dr. Wowe\'s points, and add: WTH have you seen official confirmation of such a thing as a 6000D?
SL-6000L, Sharp ROM 1.12;
Socket Rev 2.5 CF Bluetooth::SE T608;
Sandisk 512MB SD, formatted ext2;
Pocketop IR Keyboard

I think the 6000D was in either the original announcement or the FCC manuals.  But I haven\'t heard anything about it recently.
