I'm trying to figure this out:
"In Linux mode, you get a higher DPI setting to fit more information on the screen, which especially pays off when hooked up to a monitor. The Android mode will simply output a mirrored screen image, although I was told they might look at offering a different display output in a future software update."
What is the distinction here? (And does this mean that on the Android side the 2160x1080 would be squsihed to, say, 1920x1080?) I'm trying to sort out how it would handle the aspect ratio change from its native 2:1 to 16:9 or, on a monitor I'm likely to use with it, 1920x1280. I've seen a video in which the HDMI output is tested (here:
https://vimeo.com/237116357), which looks as if it's picture-framing it on all sides, from an Android boot.
And I hope the music chosen for the Planet videos isn't indicative of the quality of the device! (Plus, wouldn't you rather hear them saying, "Hey! Look at that! It actually works! Who would have guessed!")
