Bricked it in record time :(

Hi

My Gemini arrived today, I unpacked it and started it up. During the setup I set a PIN, before getting on with installing stuff. I didn't set my Google account (because the plan is to run the Gemini without a Google account).

I left the Gemini for a while and the screen locked itself, as expected. I swiped up to unlock, entered the PIN, and got the 'Wrong PIN' message. I know the PIN I believe I entered, bit it looks like I had identical  finger troubles in the enter PIN and confirm PIN boxes.

Tried the fastboot, using Esc and Side keys, bit I just get the 'No command' screen

Tried attaching it to my laptop (a McBook Air) and running adb, but no joy.

So I now have a very expensive brick, and feel very stupid. Does anyone have any ideas how to proceed from here? Am I going to have to try and get the flash tool to build under Mac OS?

I will be very grateful for any help with this.

Why don’t you get the flashtool setup and just simply reflash it with the correct scatter file.

Entering a PIN and not having it recognized is not considered a brick IMO, a brick would be when it does not boot anymore.

However I would advice you to turn the device off (hold Power button). Once it's powered off, set up the Flash Tool and flash the Android image (using Firmware Upgrade option).
It should now be reflashed and PIN should be deleted. You do not need to restore the NVRAM partition for this, and will know wether it's X25 (no eSIM) or X27 (eSIM) by going to SIM options in Settings.

I've done that and the X27 firmware is running fine, except....

.... I do need to restore the NVRAM partition, because of unwise experimenting with the 'Format' options in the flash tool
