Ok so i probably overlooked it but how is the keyboard connected to the screen. My Mx5 died when the cable broke, so its good to know what to expect.

Peek down the hinge when the device is open. You can clearly see two ribbon cables. Since the mainboard is behind the screen, I would assume that one cable is for the battery & one is for the keyboard &  sockets. That's just a guess tho.

The cables don't appear to be under any stress when open, so hopefully Psion 5 cable issues won't be a problem. Although, I never had any issues with mine. I broke the screen once (by standing on it) but that's a different matter.

Thanks, i guess standing on the screen is the ultimate stress test, but i'm not planning to it. The Psion had a pretty big loop in its ribbon, but overtime the case inside  collected quite a bit of rubbish an i think the ribbon sliding over the bottom made at the end more damage then stressing the bending of the cable. But thats just my thought.

Thanks for the replie.
