No Text messages from Verizon

I installed my Verizon SIM card in my Gemini. I received a  couple of texts and then they stopped coming through. I can send them OK. If I put the SIM back in my Galaxy 8. Sending and receiving still work.  Any Ideas?

I, too, have Verizon.

One thing I noticed is that I get fewer (spam and unwanted) text / SMS messages than I had been getting with my Samsung GS5.

I do still get texts from contacts.

On balance, I am unsure if 70% fewer junk texts is mostly a good result because of the Gemini or whether that change suggests problems.

BTW, I have had no anticipated problems (Gemini being an non-certified device) with Verizon so far.

I was able to use SMS OK, but phone calls didn't work -- dialing any number gets me a Verizon Wireless message saying I dialed wrong. When I checked with Verizon, they told me the Gemini wasn't an approved device, so I wouldn't be able to make calls. Can you make calls? Thanks.

After latest Planet update, I am NOT getting (but can send) (Verizon) SMS / text messages.

Regardless of sms app used (stock, Android Messages, Verizon+, Pulse and others) still do not receive texts.

I suspect its the apn settings if it worked before the last gemini update , I have gemini pda on verizon but on a data only sim . I think these are current settings , but please google and test as needed there are several available . https://bestmvno.com/apn-settings/verizon-w...s-apn-settings/ .

Any luck ? I went swimming with my main phone so now im trying to use the gemini pda as my main device on verizon but I am unable to receive text but I am able to send , tried the adjusting the apn but no luck there .

Until (if ever) such dysfunctions are fixed (if ever) I have restored to using Gemini's stock phone and messaging apps (Verizon Messenger+ works OK) which seems to have fixed (based on tests messages to family and friends phones asking for "GOT IT" replies back.

The downside is purchased phone and messaging apps were uninstalled and are awaiting (in my Play Store account) on some fixes (if ever) to these two issues by Planet.
