VNC: connection refused
« on: November 08, 2018, 07:28:09 am »
hi,
I'm trying to VNC from Gemini to a macOS  (Mojave, 10.14.1).
In Gemini Debian TP2 I select the Wi-Fi, installed TigerVNC (vnc4server), typed
Code: [Select]
vncserver
export DISPLAY=:1
To use ssh I had to add "192.168.1.1" in the "Nameserver" section of the Wi-Fi configuration...
But the same, in Mac OS, with RealVNC viewer for 192.168.1.47 (the Gemini Debian ip) I get "connection refused".
Code: [Select]
192.168.1.47:1What am I missing?
thank you

salvo

I was able to access over usb and wifi by just runnning

vncserver

then when connecting I used

usb = 10.15.19.82:5901
wifi = 192.168.1.10:5901

Then

username: gemini
password : gemini    (unless changed)
