Installing Debian from microSD card

I followed the wiki page
https://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/Linux_for_Cosmo#Cosmo_Linux_installation
and the corresponding youtube video. Everything ok, except that writing the debian images fails with two "ERROR:" lines instead of two "OK" lines in the step described as "Once you select the boot partition, the custom OS will be installed on your Cosmo Communicator."
I am using an old 8GB microSD card from Kingston. Could this be the problem? Any recommended microSD cards that work well with this device?

I tried a new 32GB card from Samsung. With this card, the installation went fine.
