SL-C860 loose screen hinge
« on: June 13, 2004, 02:46:39 pm »
Hi
When I close my SL-C860 the top (screen) casing hinge is slightly loose, I mean it wobbles a little from side to side - is this normal?

It seems like it is getting looser!

Is your SL-Cxxx hinge slightly loose as well or am I just paranoid?

I wouldn\'t go so far as calling it wobbly as the close is solid, but it does move a teensy bit side to side on the central hinge.  So I\'m guessing normal.

mine was like that in the first place so I guess jean\'s right and it\'s probably for flipping the screen

Mine\'s pretty tight, maybe a mil or so of movement.

What aggravates me is that there is no detent at about 135 degrees so that it will sit mostly open.
