16bit colour film optimisation
« on: June 28, 2004, 08:20:50 am »
I am trying to find out a way to convert 24 bit films to 16 bit colour for playback on my Z!  I have tried several different 24bit codecs and when i play them back on my Z they don't look as good as they should.   For example, when i play back family guy stuff i got somewhere, they look great.   Yet, when i encode Brother Bear, I can see large patching of similar colours where the colour should ideally be the same...
Gorgeous C860, 256 Sandisk SD, 1Gig Pretec 40x CF, PDAIR leather case & the really cool retractable iPDA USB sync/charge cable. Powered by PDAXROM BETA 1.

My wish - to have a Command & Conquer style game on my Z! (FREECNC!!!) Simcity 2000 would also be great.

Try raising your Bits per Second to 850 Kbps.  That should fix it up nicely at 320x240.

one problem you might be having is that DivX doesnt support 16bit video (24 or 32 only)
