How to install pdaXrom?
« on: June 29, 2004, 06:12:51 am »
I'm a new SL-C860 user. I downloaded version 1.0.5 of pdaXrom to my laptop and extracted it.
I inserted a fat formatted 512 Meg CF into the laptop and copied initrd.bin, tools.tar, and updater.sh to the root of the compactflash.
I installed the cf in the zaurus, pressed and held the OK and powered up.
I selected option 4, then 2, and then option 5 and text scrolled by at the bottom of the screen, it seemed to be working.
When I tried to go through the second time, I selected option 4 and then 2, and got a prompt in Kanji that will only let me go back to the last menu-the one where I pick my media. I have a SD card and copied the files there, but I still get the same results.

The zaurus will start up into it's stock flash, but the root is 99% used since it is now 50 meg.

How can I either go back to stock or go forward and get pdaXrom installed?

Thanks. I ended up going in and uninstalling all the apps I installed. I then went through and deleted the IPks for those apps, and then was able to complete the install.

Thanks,
John
