Keyboard dead after one suspend via On/Off ?
« on: December 10, 2003, 09:42:43 am »
Hey,

whenever I\'m suspending via the \"On/Off\" key and resume via the \"Power On\" key on the keyboard, the keyboard is dead afterwards. Using the \"Exit\" button and selecting \"Sleep\" does not show that behaviour!

Any ideas? I\'d love to use the \"On/Off\" key for sleeping, instead of always going over \"exit\"

Greetings,

Sorry crazy-b, I can\'t replicate that. Works fine for me. What 7X0 are you using?

C760. But 750 and 760 are *almost* the same.

No, latest ROM. I found X11-ROM today, and I became a fan at once :]

I just tested it again. I can reproduce it 100%.

have you tried just turning the Z on/off via the power button (on the side) and not use the keyboard power on button?  That\'s what I do, and I have no issues.

I have the same problem...
The only way I found to make it work is either to init 3, and then restart the x serv, or to reboot...
its kinda wierd.. the keyb is not totally dead, as I can use the emulated mouse (ie ctrl + 1/2/3 is working)..
killing or restarting the wm is useless... so it must be a bug in the X serv himself..

anyone has better ideas ?
(I use the last rom aswell... and i think I didn\'t have that prob with the one before, but i\'m not sure about that)
