Shockwave/Flash

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could play things like this

http://goodbysilverstein.com/client_site_b...is_land_mov.swf

or this

http://www.flashplayer.com/animation/yesandno.html

on our Zs?  Or can we already?  I think I should be told!

What version of flash is it (as it will make a difference to swfplayer)?

If you have already then my apologies (but it's certainly in there), otherwise USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION, ah, that's better.

The version of flash depends on the file being played - I gave a couple of links to files I'd like to play, and I presume that can be found out.

I started this thread because it is difficult to use the search function on the word "flash" as it comes up with hundreds of hits about flash memory.  I also cannot enter the term "swf" because it has fewer than four letters.  I'm not just a numbskull who doesn't know how to search.

Point taken, stressful morning. Anyway doing a search for 'flash player' and user 'lardman' all together (because I couldn't remember where the thread was either ;-)) this is what I'd recommend you read: https://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...wtopic=1934&hl=

No Prob    You say you cross-compiled a Flash player for X11 - would that not work on the pdaXrom?  A lot of that thread seems to be about the problems of plugging the player into a web browser, which would be ideal, but not needed if you're playing files offline.

Yes it should work with pdaXrom, but as I said in the thread I never tried it and nor did anyone else to my knowledge.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on.
