pocketop on X11: howto?
« on: December 13, 2003, 03:52:48 pm »
I guess most C7XX owners are happy enough with their built-in keyboards, but it is sooo nice using a pocketop keyboard.  It was hopelessly awkward on my SL5000D, requiring a reflector and fiddling, but with the screen turned around so that it and the IR port face the same way things sure are nice. (i was using IRK with the cacko 1.18 qtopia ROM)
snes9x, dgen, znester, and other games are a whole lot more playable with the bigger keyboard.

The python IRK driver  +module (kbdsim.o) from mission critical systems would probably be the easiest way to go, since all it needs is a little(?) modification. Also, i hexedited the kbdsim.o module to make the version info right so it would load into 2.4.18 kernel.   What is different about the C7XX IR port and that of the SL5X00?
