Updated Fluxbox WM package. Wallpaper now works.

Ok, i have fixed the recent im_lib errors everyone was experiencing with fluxbox and qiv. I have done away with qiv altogether as that was giving me problems. Fluxbox now uses a package if have built called xli. Also, i have rebuilt the current fluxbox build to use xli. Also there are some minor fixes such as fixes to the menu etc. you may download the new fluxbox package and the xli package from our feed at www.cacko.biz.

I\'m running into a weird problem. I\'m not able to change the wallpaper by editing the init file. Every time I do, it changes back to the first wallpaper image I put in the init file. I can change the wallpaper via aterm with the bsetbg command. I\'ve triple checked my syntax and file details in init but everytime I restart fluxbox it goes back to the old wallpaper.  :roll:

which init file are you changing? /etc/X11/fluxbox/init or /home/root/.fluxbox/init ? it should be the latter one. I have tested it out myself and the wallpaper changes for me on boot. Also one thing that i have noticed is that with the new xli package is that it won\'t set the wallpaper unless it is 640x480. When qiv used to work , It would resize it for you. Because i used to use a 1280x1024 png for my wallpaper. but now that doesn\'t work, but when resized to 640x480, it worked.

which init file are you changing? /etc/X11/fluxbox/init or /home/root/.fluxbox/init ?

I\'ve been working on the /home/root/.fluxbox/init file.

After much screwing around I\'ve found that it\'s important to do a reboot after editing the init file. For some reason just restarting fluxbox overwrites the init file and removes the changes.

hmm, transparency with aterm no longer works with xli. I really wish i knew why qiv broke.

That\'s strange, it works for me. But I\'m not using the AppRun file to exec it. I\'m using my own command line switches in the fluxbox menu. I\'ve been trying to get larger fonts (haven\'t found the magic combo yet - with larger fonts the window gets too big and MC doesn\'t fit properly).
