double reboot issue on SL5500?
« on: December 16, 2003, 07:03:59 am »
Third night in a row I have had to do a restore, after the Z has failed to reboot. The only pattern I see is it is perhaps on a second reboot which hangs? I turn it off and back on again and bam, hard reset. Anyone see or know anything about this behaviour?

Thanks tumnus, I\'m setting up my SL5500 with the Apache/PHP/MySQL for client demonstrations or our softwrae solutions rather then carry a laptop. Oh, and it is fun as well

tumnus, you really seem to know the How-Tos and FAQs really well. You often answer with links when people have problems.

I\'m just curious, do you actually remember it all or do you always do the research on behalf of the folks asking the questions?

I keep telling myself I should have a good look at the ZUG docs but it seems like such a bore...

For the records: That\'s one of the *cough* few problems the embedix kernel has. Already fixed in 2.4.21-cl (OZ-kernel) which needs a few finishing touches before it can be released. Anyone interested in doing some kernel work? Contact us in #openembedded (irc.freenode.net)

It\'s fixed in the 5600 Sharp ROM kernel though.

I guess I have a good memory, as I remember most. I also wrote about a third of the FAQ and a good number of the Howtos.

Oh. I see

Yes, I seem to remember you\'ve won a \"Documentation contest\". That was the first announcement I saw the first time I went to this site.

My compliments, sir.
