SL-C860 with cracked screen

So I cracked the screen on my month-old SL-C860
I sent it back to Japan for repair and Sharp wants $272 for a new screen (which seems a bit outrageous since Palm charges $125 for screen replacement. I know the zaurus has a better screen, but still...).

Anyway, I am wondering if it is worth paying for the repair. Does anyone have any use for a zaurus with a cracked screen (for parts, ssh host, etc)? If so please let me know what you think it would be worth.  If someone needs the parts and wants it at a good enough price, it might be worth selling unrepaired.

Thanks for people's interest in my broken zaurus, but I decided that I really want to just get it fixed and buy a really strong case for it so I don't crack the damn screen again
