no double click on hold
« on: October 11, 2004, 08:05:17 pm »
Does anyone know how to eliminate the click and hold features? I'd like to use double clicks when needed, and drag as long as I wish, and use the two japanese keys next to fn as 2nd and 3rd mouse buttons

I'd like to cut out the tap&hold feature to emulate doubleClicks and/or right clicks etc

I'd like to
1) use the japanese keys for 2nd and 3rd mouse buttons
2) be able to drag for an hour
3) obtain double clicks by double clicking (I can accept something like fn+jap keys, alternatively)

suggestions?

I agree, the tap-and-hold was neat at first but has become quite annoying.  The Japanese keys would work perfectly for midde/right button... Double clicking isn't hard to do manually unless you're in a bouncing car or something.

xmousekeys seems to allow this. (Or it might be just called mousekeys).
No IPK for it however (apart from familiar feed). However if someone feels like compiling it... ?

I can't stand the (new) mouse behaviour :-<

I'm always dropping windows, etc.
most things are impossible to use now.
