Web site going (sgp.zaurii.net)
« on: October 13, 2004, 11:39:28 am »
I've just been told that my sgp.zaurii.net web site will be going soon.

I can't justify paying $90 for the year to host it plus the $15 for the name (which is really neither here nor there to tell the truth).

So if anyone wants anything from the site. Get it sooner rather than later. I'll probably take a look through all of the junk and stick some of it (like the HowTo, etc.) up on the ZUG if it's still vaguely in date.

Regards,

Right this is what's on there (I didn't produce links for things which people had asked me to compile and that I wasn't going to [think about] supporting).

I can't really remember why half of this stuff is on there but it might be useful for someone (the tar.gz files generally contain the build tree including source and the binaries; e.g. before 'make install' has been run, but some of them are binary only and are just tar.gz because I couldn't be bothered to make an ipk):

it looks like all of zaurii.net is going... it just redirects to the zug.  that's a bummer.

I'm wget'ing all the files now to the zug server... I'll give you the path in case you need to reference them in your how-to docs.

If you can afford the $15 for the domain name then I can give you free hosting for the site.

Thank you all for your offers.

I think I'll move the HowTo and main pages to my uni address for the time being:

http://www.bath.ac.uk/~enpsgp/

and simply remove all of the (rather large) binaries as I hope to soon have them in OE anyway (talking about R and Octave - the other stuff was not that important to me anyway).

The site needs a serious update anyway, so perhaps this having to save space will force me to do that ;-)

Where did these end up?  I'm looking for the x48 source & binaries to try out.

Thanks.

Here are the binaries, you'll have to grab the source off the web.

Do you still have octave somewhere? The ipk from the only feed where I could find it doesn't work for some reason.

Thanks dude,
I downloaded the c3270 program and ran it on my Z5500 and it says:
Emulator won't fit on a 17x36 display
Changed the font to micro and it said:
Emulator won't fit on a 38x54 display

Have you tried this thing on a 5500 or 5600?

Thanks

I must have tried it on my 5500, long long time ago though,

I'd guess that I either used some command line switch, or I set the TERM env var, other than that, I'm afraid I don't know, sorry,
