Aircable Bluetooth and C860 - No luck
« on: October 19, 2004, 03:18:46 pm »
Please help, tryring to connect the Z with a Aircable Bluetooth adaptor to my notebook.  I installed the two IPKs listed in the howtos and folliwed the directions.  I never forund any file called DialuppIRXXXX for my network config and the whole instructions are a bit vague about how to connect to a notebook instead on a cellphone.

I just want to sync or view files on my notebook and I setup the notebookm to accept connections and allow these services.

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW I tried plug/unplug and blue light goes on for a second...same happens when I reset for 5 seconds.

Aircable seems fairly popular, but I am having a heck of a time getting it to see my notebook or even getting it to scan for devices.

I just wanted to update my own post to let people know what I was doing wrong.

The thing is that after installing the IPKS (see How to) I added a network connection...but although one says Bluetooth, I had to create one called dialup or it didn't work.  Once I added Dialup and modified the DIALUPIRDAxxxxxxx file I got the aicable and the noteboook to pair....

The issue now is that I want to set the services on the C860 to allow syncing and file sharing over the bluettooth connection.   The only thing I seem to be able to do is to connect to the serial IO of the Z (I think).

I am sure someone must be using BT (aircable or CF) to sync....how do you setup the Z to allow syncing and filesharing, or MP3 playback from Z to notebook or vice versal

Thanks
