I tried my best to find a solution to this problem by searching through the forums but so far nothing has worked. I am trying to get two partitions mounted upon boot.
Here is the partition table for my sd card (SimpleTech ProX):
Disk /dev/mmcda: 255 MB, 255852544 bytes
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 976 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

I can manually get things working by typing:
mount /dev/mmcda2 /mnt/card
swapon /dev/mmcda1
My /etc/fstab is currently:
