just thought of few more things.

when loading rom it automaticitly sets potition size as it loads to max.
larger screan on the movie player.
key mapping for mmx player (outside buttons)
and shutting off screan when playing music in mmx
would be nice to copy and paste. from abi to bash

SQUASHFS file system, like on this thread for wikipedia would be great, and my knowledge is not good enough to patch the kernel.  This would probably clinch me moving to pdaXrom from cacko if i get wikipedia working through squashfs...

Also qbedic/zbedic would be cool as its one of my 'killer apps', but thats more of a package request
* C3100 with Cacko 1.23 and debian (pocketworkstation) - 1Gb SD / 1Gb CF / Prism Wifi
* C-860 with Cacko 1.21b/pdaXrom dualboot with 256Mb CF / 512 Mb SD / Prism Wifi
* SL-5500 with Cacko rom with 128Mb SD home on SD / 96 Mb CF

Actually acsab, why not use openz ?, if you want openz + X then run the GPE image.

These guys are targetting a slightly different user to the OZ/OE project. I agree that long term we could all benefit when the 2.6 kernel is up and running (especially if they manage to get SD card and other current binary only drivers) but for now I think as an X based distro for the SL-Cxx these guys have stolen the show.

Haven't tried it yet, but if it doesn't have them, network profiles would be great.

My "missing/to be fixed/wished" stuff

[C860 + Kathrin RC5]

- X server stops catching keyboard and mouse events suddenly. The only thing to do is to kill X via ssh or removing the battery and turn the Z again

- Gaim still segfaults when messaging a MSN user.

- A system monitor that shows the "real" CPU load

- In "Lan & WiFi", when you create a new profile and then go to the next tab (tcp/ip & dns), the "Obtain tcp info auto" option is blank, but the fields "ip address", "subnet mask" and "gateway" are disabled, so you cannot define your own settings. You have to check the "Obtain tcp info auto" option and then uncheck it again in order the disabled fields become available.  The same goes for the next section (DNS), and the next tab "Wireless". I know this is not a big problem, but seems it's easy to fix

- A easier way to switch between network schemes. Maybe click in some kind of network status applet (say, the wireless applet) and pick up the desired scheme from a list in a popup

- A way to blank the display but not to suspend the pda.

- A taskbar would be nice

- xkbdlauncher script gives a few errors and exits (actually, the keyboard applet doesn't launch any keyboard)

- When switch to portrait mode, the applications font increases (is this a feature?) and cause some apps to behave anormally. in Galculator, the text in the buttons are half displayed. KA/PI resizes itself constantly about 4 times and the toolbar become almost hidden when maximizing.

don't know if i am repeating the same stuff posted before by someone else, but i've just installed RC5 this morning and that was what i found

When i reboot (or force a hard reboot), the usb networking defaults to one of the external cards. When i go into the dialog it still shows networking. Not a major issue, but a little annoying....

maybe change the name in the ROm installer to pdaXrom instead of the old cacko. It might get confusing
edit: and make the qt config small enough to fit on a single screen

I would like to see two things±

- pdaXrom working with the C3000
- this kernel patch included, so TomTom can be compiled for pdaXrom :
