Most important missing/to be fixed in pdaXrom?
« Reply #75 on: November 12, 2004, 09:15:23 am »
@ bastichelaar

I have started threads for C3000 support for both pdaXrom and OpenZaurus

BTW, when are you due to receive your C3000? Mine will be flying into NY (JFK) on Saturday (Japan time), so it will probably reach VA on Monday.

- this kernel patch included, so TomTom can be compiled for pdaXrom :

that kernel patch is for extrended hardware support in the Tomtom Go, and tomtom hasn't released any application source code, AFAIK.
Do LART me if I'm wrong

Laze, please tell me, will the too-large-font-in-portrait-mode be fixed in the next release (rc), or should I start to write a workaround for my fvwm-pdaxrom tools? I don't do it if it will be fixed in a short time.

Thank you in advance,
Zumi

Hi Laze,

The font resolution problem seems to be a problem of the program xrandr.
Perhaps you could integrate a newer or patched version of xrandr?

http://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1050

contains the bug and the fix.

Hope its not too late (if it is, then it could wait for 1.1.1)

Just want to reiterate my bug (link)

In a nutshell, my Linksys WCF12 should be using the prism2cs module(which isn't compiled/dist'd.) instead of the orinoco.

Thanks all I want (other than to find out what I'm doing wrong when trying to cross-compile)

Just in case, other prism cards are listed here:

There are always alot of different problems with wireless and different stuff - we have updated to latest wireless extensions and added alot of more stuff - hopefully that also solves some of your mentioned problems.

Scoutme - wasn't that left out on purpose in 0.9 - anyway 1.0 is going to be available soon ™

Maybe try opening about:config in firefox and look for typeaheadfind or something like that..

We are stuggling because of the missing support of Fortan in gcc. (see this thread) Please compile the native SDK with g77 and we can get some Computer Algebra System (for example octave) working on pdaXrom at last!

Thank you in advance,

We already have maxima running on Zaurus. Someone compiled xmaxima too and was going to upload ipk to the feed. (just check topics for last month with keyword maxima)

P.S. I remembered another one must-be feature - file send/receive tool via bluetooth, not only irda.
P.P.S. And I still want to know anything about fixing ratoc usb host support.

Well, you sent me some clisp files (which, I guess, contains maxima too) but when I unpacked it and tried to run it gave me some undefined symbols error. I can't tell now exactly what, but I wasn't able to run it. I think I had readline and ncurses libs too.

So, I think developers still need the Fortran support in gcc for compiling other math things. Please include it.

I think we need locale binaries and data in glib so that we can use pdaXrom in other LANG (such as zh_TW.UTF-8).

Without these files, I cannot run xcin to input Chinese and even display Chinese song titles in XMMS.
