Unit Convertor/Calc with Unit Convert that works

ksignorini, arm yourself with patience on this one (or switch to SharpROM for the time being, ha ha ha). I'm moving from Fedora Core 2 to Core 3 which involves a big disk clean-up. Maybe over the weekend I'll have time to look at it again - no promises.

zenyatta:

(haha)

No sweat.

I may even try to do an OE setup with Mac OS X, though from the instructions I've read, it may end up messing with my development tools too much (and I need them working for a course I'm taking).

I'll just bump this post once a week or ten days to keep it fresh.

If you do manage to come up with a working app, please let me know!

Thanks,
Kent!

I'm new to the Z world, and one of the things that drew me to it was seeing screenshots of Zaurus Unit Convertor online.  I need this app daily.

BUT!  I'm running OZ 3.5.1 and of course I have to makecompat ZUC to use it.

Well, apparently this buggers up some floating point math or something and therefore renders ZUC unusable (none of the numbers/math works!).

So, if someone would like to make a nice little unit conversion program--with Pressure and Speed and Distance and Temperature (the ones I use the most) that would be so kind--especially Pressure (and if you want to add CFM to L/s that would be great, too!)

Thanks,
Kent!

Hi Kent,

you may already know, just for sure. I had realized the same troubles after flashing my 5500 with OZ 3.5.2 and Opie 1.1.7. Then, I found upgraded version in the OZ 3.5.2 download tree at:
[a href=\"http://www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.2/upgrades/]http://www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.2/upgrades/[/url]
I donwloaded zuc_1.1.2ern-r1_arm.ipk and it works just fine for me. So far, I tested only temperatures which I need at most.

I second this.  The Psion used to have a fantastic unit conversion program from, I believe, a company with a name similar to Purple Software.  I found a good one for the Zaurus called Universal Converter that kinda worked on my Zaurus C-860, but won't work at all on the C-3000.  I have yet to find one for the C-3000.
